Member Eligibility
Who is eligible to join Univision Sacco?
Our Sacco admits eligible individuals, groups, or corporates for membership upon fulfillment of membership opening requirements below.
Eligible Members Include
- Primary and Secondary school teachers, retired and in service
- All Government employees both county and national
- Employees with teacher-affiliated bodies like KNUT
- Retirees
- Business community
- Micro Credit and welfare groups
- NGOs
Membership Process
How to join the Sacco?
You can join Univision Sacco by downloading and filling the membership application form and submit it to our office or send it to the official email address of the Sacco. Below are the requirements for each type of membership.
Individual Membership
To join the Sacco, one needs to
- National ID
- KRA Pin certificate
- Business permit/ Trade license
- Entrance fee of Ksh.100
- Minimum account balance Ksh.200
- Share capital of Ksh.200
Salaried Membership
To join the Sacco, one needs to
- Have attained at least 18 years of age
- Fill membership application form
- Attach a copy of your national card or passport
- Entrance fee of Ksh. 1,000
- Minimum account balance Ksh. 1,000
- Prescribe the amount of share contribution deductible/ payable every month.
Company/ Insitution
To join the Sacco, a company/institution needs to
- Entrance fee of Ksh.200
- Share capital of Ksh.200
- KRA pin of the company/ Certificate of incorporation
- ID copies of the directors
- Business permit /registration certificate
- A monthly contribution of Ksh. 5,000
Group Membership
To join the Sacco, a group needs to
- Updated group certificate of registration from social services.
- Minutes with the resolution to open an account
- Group constitution (by-laws)
- Account signatories and their original IDs
- Group KRA pin.
- Group entrance fee Ksh. 1,000
- Minimum account balance Ksh. 1,000
- Share capital Ksh. 2,000
1. Group Model
- Each group member under group model to contribute a minimum of Ksh. 500 monthly per member.
- A group minimum monthly contribution of Ksh. 5,000
2. Individual Model
Each individual member to contribute a minimum of Ksh.
500 monthly distributed as below:-
- Bosa deposits of Ksh. 300
- Group account savings of Ksh. 200
